hello,
I have plugged the essence into an ouverture withour any speakers (a.opt 0) and in a room.
when I call the radio or a.aux from the bv 7 40 in the main room, everything works fine. When I select, the cd of the ouverture plays and I can control it through the bv but no sound at all.
I have also a bl3500 in a kitchen (option 6) and when I select radio it displays radio but one second later it goes on standby.
thanks in advance to any ml guru !

If I understand correctly, your setup is:
- Essence powerlink (line) output connected to ouverture aux in (RJ45 to DIN cable)
- No speakers connected to essence or ouverture
- Ouverture configured as A.OPT 0
- BV7 configured as V.OPT 2
- BL3500 configured as L.OPT 6
When you select radio, or a.aux on the BV7, it works properly (including audio from either the ouverture radio, or the essence)?
but when you select CD it is silent, although control, eg changing tracks etc, appears to function?
First thing I would do is check the OPT settings again - just in case.
Then power off all three devices at the mains, and power them back on again one at a time - TV first, then Ouverture, then BL3500.
Next, do you have some headphones you can plug into the ouverture? this will help determine if the ouverture CD is actually producing audio.
Do sources other than radio work on the 3500? Does it work for sources from the BV7? if not, what about if you disconnect the ouverture, does it then work for (the audio of) sources from the BV7?
Kind regards,
Martin.
That you can connect to the bl3500 and it then drops makes me think you might have a poor/weak connection some where on your master link.
Might be worth checking or re-terminating the ML.
thanks for your reply.
i checked every cables. unplugged and plugged everything like you said.
i can hear the cd through the bv but when I go to radio and go after to cd two times, I can't hear anymore the cd and there is a strange music (some seconds of xylophone notes) I never heard before.
each time I think it is the beginning of the track but it is not.
still nothing from the bl3500.
olvisab: there is a strange music (some seconds of xylophone notes) I never heard before.
A phantom circuit ?
a phantom with teeths probably.
I forgot that I had a masterlink 12 meters masterlink cable going into my attic and I don't use now.
I have disconnected it form the others.
now I have these remaining issues :
- I can listen to the cd on the beolab 3500 and a.aux but if I want to select a.aux I have to select cd before. If I press a.aux it doesn't react.
- on the bv 7 I can select a.aux but cd works only when I unplug from the main the bv and ouverture. I select cd it works then radio, and again cd and no sound. at the same time the cd works on the bl3500.
there is only one thing I couldn't do. I can't unplug the masterlink cable from the bv 7. it is on the wall and It is complicated to remove it.
It seems that there is a confusion between the bv and cd player.
