I know this sounds strange but I am wanting to use an Amazon Firestick with my 15 year old Avant. I recently purchased a Firestick as there is one show that I want to watch on Amazon Prime..The Grand Tour. I have a 32 inch Avant sitting in a room that I never use, never use the room or the Avant. I thought it would be nice to use the room occasionally as well as the Avant. Also, cable management is lot easier with it than trying to run and hide the power cable for the Firestick with my other Beovisions. I bought an adapter that is designed for Firestick HDMInto red/white/yellow output, that is designed to connect the Firestick to older TVS. I connected it to the Avant and the picture works fine, or should I say beautifully? But I can not get any sound. I have the red and white cables connected to the red and white inputs. Dolby Digital plus is set to off in the Firestick. Avant is set to no external speakers. When increasing or lowering volume on the Beo4 some static can be heard from the Avant, but nothing else. Any thoughts?
