Hello,

I am new to the forum, so excuse me if I don't know the protocol.

I am looking at a Beogram 6000 turntable, with the idea of hooking it up to either my Pioneer QX-9900, QX-949, or Sansui QRX-9001. Is this possible?

Thank you,

DG

Hello DG,

Welcome to Beoworld!

Those are lovely classic receivers that you have!  Any of them would be a perfect partner for a stereo Beogram 6000 (I'm assuming that you have a standard stereo Beogram, not the Quadraphonic version)?  As all of these receivers have MM phono stages fitted, you just need this cable to connect the Beogram for high quality stereo playback:-

Kind regards, Steve.

Hi Steve,

I wasn't clear in my question, sorry.

What I meant to ask is, if the Beogram 6000 quad turntable would be compatible with one of my Pioneer or Sansui quad receiver(s),  for playing quad LP's.

I'm taking the plunge into vintage quad and this turntable is nice enough to take the risk, at least initially, ha!

I would not need it for stereo.

Thanks,

DG

The Beogram 6000 has the CD4 decoder built in,and the output is switchable between normal low level, for connection to a standard amplifier,or high(line) level when used as a four channel player.

If any of your chosen receiver's have a four channel line level input,eg for a tape machine, the Beogram 6000 could be connected there via a suitable Din/RCA adaptor cable.

You would need to disable(ie switch off) any decoding provided by the receiver of course.

Hope you have a source of CD4 disc's though?

Regards,

Nick
