i want to replace my old Beogram 7000 with a brand new turntable (e.g. Clearaudio or Rega). The 7000 is connected to the AV in of our Beovision 11 (/w Beolab 5), but clearly this is so easy because of the built-in RIAA.
I guess non of the modern non-B&O turntables have that, so can anyone recommend what to do ?
Reneps: suggestions for great looking+sounding turntables welcome too in price range of say 500 - 2000 Euro's complete.
There are a number of decks with built in RIAA - some of the Project decks certainly do. However it is easy to buy an external RIAA anyway - Sounds Heavenly can no doubt help. Why replace the 7000 though? They sell for a good sum these days!

The new Technics SL1200 is a beautiful and classical turntable. The new edition is out since a few months and they are built like tanks, too.http://www.technics.com/uk/products/grand-class/direct-drive-turntable-system-sl-1200g.html
wrt last question:Well, I also wanted a turntable in the bedroom, so the Beogram 7000 will move there (BL-8000+BL2+BV-10) and a good looking and sounding new one in our living room.
btw: thanks!
