Hello Beoworld!
I am quite new to the scene but have become a beoliever (see what I did there?) Anyway, I've got my S8's hooked up to my BV11-46 and they constantly hum. I'm using the B&O powerlink cables provided but have been told to try shielded cat7 and was curious if that was the only resolution?
Also, I've got a pair of the BL17's hardwired to my Essence and they hum as well. However, when connected wirelessly with my Transmitter 1, they do not. Again, I'm using the powerlink cables provided by B&O.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hello Adam,
Welcome to Beoworld! We are all beolievers here!
Your speakers should not hum, this is usually caused by unshielded cables being used. Standard computer Ethernet cables (known as "UTP", where the "U" stands for "unshielded") are not suitable for use with Beolab speakers.
Changing the cables to correctly shielded ones will remove the humming: http://soundsheavenly.com/powerlink-rj45-cat5-connection-models-from-2013/28-rj45-powerlink-compatible-shielded-cable-for-beolab-speakers-2013-and-newer.html
Kind regards, Steve.
