There's (finally!) a new B&O Multiroom android app in the Play Store, called simply "Bang and Olufsen" - it's still in beta but seems to be a massive improvement over the android BeoMusic / Multiroom apps which on my phone at least seemed very unstable...
The new app seems to be much faster and also integrated the functionality of the BeoSetup app.

ok, but the beta android version is available in the google play store now for those who would like to try it...
Given it is not formally released, I guess some bugs are to be expected, but so far I haven't found any and it seems way more useable and stable than the android version of the beomusic app.
After searching for "Bang & Olufsen" within the Play Store, I had to scroll down through several pages of apps to find it, but it is there - and it may appear nearer the top of the list if you select the 'early access' heading first.
Will the B&O Playmaker ever be supported?
(Asking because I have one, directly connect to my BL8000's and my tv. Would love to use a dedicated b&o with it)
Cool! Going to download this app very soon.

Unfortunately, Playmaker will never be supported by the Beomusic App. Just like the Beosound Essence MKI
Trying the app on my Samung Galaxy S6 .
Everything seemed far better than Beomusic app (which is an absolute nightmare in Android...!) but apparently no support for my NAS drive here, as in the list I can just see tunein, deezer and line in.
Is it just because that's a beta version? Hope so .....

That's an interesting point - I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out. I really hope that functionality will make it's way into the final release...
There's an email link at the bottom of the FAQ page, and a feedback form, both of which are accessed via the settings menu, so it might be worth raising this there as I presume the feedback form in particular is likely to reach the team responsible for the new app.
I asked B&O support yesterday night.
Here's the answer from "B&O Cloud Team":

Hi Mauro,
Thanks for your feedback. Yes the initial version of the app does not support DLNA servers, but we are working on this and plan to release DLNA early next year.
thanks, Morten
