Hi all,
I have a lovely Beomaster 4000 that I was working on last eve. There is a problem with this unit that has me confused.
The FM section- it only plays out of one channel. With other line-in inputs, it's full stereo, sounds great. Press the mono button while FM is on, you get two channels (in mono of course).
What is more perplexing- and I wonder if this is a clue: is that if I use the FM station presets, (I am referring to the 1,2,3,4, 5...etc ...buttons that correspond to the little dials allowing for pre-set of your favorite FM channels), I get full FM stereo- sounding great. So there is something about the 'regular' FM mode that Is preventing the flow of one channel. I fiddled with the FM switch itself, just to see if maybe the signal cut in/out as I wiggled it, but nothing.
Any ideas what could be the issue? Unit is in great shape and appears clean inside.
Thanks in advance.
David
Give the front row switches a blast of contact cleaner (from inside the Beomaster) and then excercise them a bit.

Hey Dillen. Thanks for the advice. Somehow, the problem has resolved itself, for now, anyway.
Question- I heard your name come up here on the forum in relation to the sale of Beocord 3300 belt kits.
Do you sell them? They come with instructions too?
Thanks,
