hello i recently bought a beomaster 6000 at an auction

it turns on and all the functions work, but when nothing is playing, and the volume is on low settings it makes a weird humming, and when i increase the volume the humming is louder.

here is the video of the sound :

can someone tell me what is wrong?

The volume control is motor driven.
The motor is running - that's what you can hear, but the potentiometer
isn't moving because the belt is slipping.
Common problem after 30+ years.

I can supply a new belt.

Thanks Martin

What is your direct number or email?

How much is belt ?

Also I don't know if it actually plays, I'll be taking it in tomorrow to test that
