Dear fellow forum members,

Respite all mentioned problems with the Beosound Moment, I still in the process of considering to get one. The product keeps appealing me because of its design and functionality. I've asked my dealer about his experience with the failty software and he told me that from the 100+ devices he only had 5 customers that had such a bad experience with it, that he had to refund them. Anyway, for my particular set-up he did not have an answer so maybe someone on the forum has a glue.

I want to use the Moment in my livingroom, where my V1 is situated. I know that it is no problem to use my connected speakers through the Moment. But is it possible to use the Moment (over my TV connected speakers) and watch the TV (with sound out of the TV speakers) simultaneously?

Thanks for your replies,

Serge

Off topic: dealer also confirmed new software for the Moment, with completely new design and functionality, including showing of Album pictures from NAS stored music.

Hi Fantastic,

I have (had) the same set up and this is to my knowledge not possible.

Recently I connected my speakers directly to the Moment and obviously then you can do this, but obviously then you will not have the extra speakers working with the V1 speakers.

Regardless, in this set up I find the remote control operation through the Beoremote One annoying (switching sources throughout the LIST function) so for that reason alone I am going to switch back to the old set up.

Hope this helps.

Peter

I know, that some users want this - I still don't see the benefit of this ;-(

No, you can't do that. (You could that via the AV button in certain setups with ML for the purpose of having stereo sound - from certain programs - in the days, where tv sound was mono).

The sources of the Moment will appear as sources on the tv (you can set individual Speaker Groups for these), but choosing one source will close down the other actual.

We are all looking forward to what 'a new software' will bring.

Some say, that it can't be worse than the recent ;-))

There is a tv - and there is a BV
