I have not seen the details on the support page yet, but I think they have added Bass/Treble control ..... or I missed it in the previous releases? other than that nothing obvious.

v. 1.8.480 – Released 17.11.2016Introduced the possibility to manually tune the basic tone control of Bass & Treble, via the App, in the product Sound Settings
(BeoSound 35 only) Added the possibility to set fixed volume level on the line-in/optical source, so the volume is regulated by the external source

Hiort: Wonder why it says "Beosound 35 only"? The tone controls are there in the A6.

The text format was lost during the copy paste :-) I have corrected this to avoid confusion, please see above

Welcome to the forum
The A6 is a great product!
If you download the Beosetup app you can trigger the update from there.
Don´t think you can get hold of the firmware anywhere else.

And there's actually 1.9.502.lotsofnumbers out now - I just noticed, don't ask me what's new...
Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal or use wired Ethernet. I guess the device might refuse to update, if it thinks that the connection might be unreliable.

mbolo01:They added support for GOOGLE Home Voice Assistant, support for Spotify on GOOGLE Cast, reduced overall power consumption and smaller fixes an improvements
Interestingly, they also added Analytics support. People who have enabled analytics through the web pages will now provide analytics data to the B&O cloud service from version 1.9.502 just released.
Regards Keith....

I would do a reset and start from scratch
Remembering that I have seen the list of software revisions & new features somewhere some time in the past, I spent quite a while looking for it, in vain. It's not on the Beoplay site as you would expect.
It's on the B&O Beosound 35 support pages. There, maybe I can now find it in the future...
Factory Reset did not do the trick.
BUT.. A very friendly B&O dealer in Zwolle sended me A6 Firmware 1.9xxx as a file.Manualy installed it and.......Succes at last ... :-)
Now i am verry happy, and will spend some evenings figuring out how things work..
Thanks for al replays.
If someone is intrested in the Firmware file: sfupdate-release-1.9.502.209859068

If you happen to know, what does:
mean?
(As far as I know I already could cast to my Essence from the Spotify before (!) the 19th December update.
I usually use the (Spotify) Connect feature - only plus point using Cast would be that I can group the Essence with my ChromeCast Audio.)

No idea. I only have the non-paid Spotify account and it refuses to give me any fancy Connect thingies or direct casting on piePad. I get AirPlay though.
For some reason, my A6 doesn't show up as a "connected device" in the Google Home app whereas my "real" Chromecast does, and Google's instructions on linking a new device don't make any sense. Yet I can still cast audio to the A6 from all Chromecast-enabled apps (except Spotify). Perhaps I should do a reset as well...
@Fruts glad you got it sorted! Maybe the jump in revisions was too large for the automatic update. 1.3 is old.
