Hello All,
I gifted myself a "wheelie" remote for the holidays. It pairs and works fine, except when I want to start the Essence from off. That is, when the Essence is off, and I touch the top of the remote, the speakers turn on for a second or two, and then turn off. That's it. My "last source" was a TuneIn radio station, but it doesn't seem like it remembers.
Does anyone know which sources are valid as a "last source" to play upon startup? It seems odd that I can setup this same TuneIn station as for an Alarm, but I will not play it from standby. What am I doing wrong?
This is kind of the whole reason I bought the remote - so I can turn on music in the morning without fussing with my phone... so far, it's a fail :(
Thanks,
Stan
One thing to check - using the beosetup app (or typing the IP address of the Essence into a web browser), check 'Your Content -> Sources -> In local list' and make sure Tune-In is at the top of the list.
Kind regards
Martin.
Thanks Martin. That makes a lot of sense.
What didn't make sense: when I go to that list, I only see my BeoLink converter sources - no TuneIn.
Further investigation showed that I had my Essence integrated with my BLC. I removed that integration. List still showed BLC sources. Reset list to "factory default". Now, I have TuneIn, but I lost my BLC sources. Re-added the BLC integration. List goes back to showing only BLC sources. Reset the list to "factory default". Now, it shows TuneIn (and others) AND my BLC sources.
I guess I didn't really need to un-do/re-do the BLC integration, but that's how I got to where I needed to go.
TL,DR: If your Essence is integrated with another device (such as BLC), and you only see the other device's sources in your "In local list". Select the "reset list" button and the default Essence sources should also show up.
