I asked my dealer about this on Friday and he had no idea about a BV11. I did wonder if this was a ploy to avoid customers waiting for a new TV, but he genuinely didn't think a new TV would be out this year.

Just out of interest, where will this BV11 sit in the range? I can't see the need for yet another B&O TV. I'd rather see B&O launch larger versions of their existing TVs - such as a 55" BV10 or a 55" BV12!

BV11 isn't this going to be the new updated BV10 that we were all talking about 2 or 3 weeks ago?

I can't imagine them keeping the same form factor and changing the name. Why would they do that? For instance, the BV7 received a much bigger upgrade when the BS3 was added between MKII and the MKIII, plus a 1080 panel, but they referred to it as BV7. It didn't receive a name change.

If B&O plan on producing a BV10 "lite", without masterlink, it will be incredibly confusing if they give it the BV11 moniker! So I can't imagine that happening either.

As I said, my dealer said that this BV11 wasn't mentioned at the recent dealer conference, so isn't this TV just speculation on behalf of this board? No-one seems to know anything about it, nor how it will sit in the range.

My dealer was tight lipped about this but definitely a new tv this year at 40" will know more at dealer conference in sept

B&O have never been very consistent in their numbering -and I guess they have used all the numbers from 1 -10 for tv's - so why not? Laughing

Well, I'm going to back track. My dealer admitted there *will* be a BV11, possibly in 40/46/55" sizes, with the new V1 chassis and possibly even a hard drive recorder built in. Says it will be out before the end of this year and could be as soon as October.

I'm a bit lost. I have no idea how another TV will sit in the range, whether it will replace another TV or anything. Dealer didn't know either. I guess they'll find out in September.

You can call it “lite”, but sooner or later there is going to be a switch, where the masterlink is left out in the future tv’s. CD’s are slowly fading away and the V1 gives you allready a good alternative to replace FM-radio. My guess is that the BS4 is the last audiomaster in B&O’s product range as we know it.

The new audiomasters of these days are servers in the form of a NAS or BS5.

Possibly a revamped 10 series with the V1 sound/picture engine. Hope that's all it shares :-/

Could not agree more!

Seems the BV10-32 launched end of 2010 has been the last new product equipped with ML!

All new products of 2011 and 2012 connect / stream via RJ45 and / or WiFi.
(Since BeoSystem 3 is not new, BV12-65 and BV 4-85 are no "new" products)

If you count 1 + 1 it's obvious the ML era already has ended silently.

Very likely, similar to the transition from MCL to ML 20 years ago, we can expect a last ML product
- a converter between ML and "Whateverwillbethename"-Link.

Isn't that what we already said above? :)

Basically, the only thing that's uncertain is the design and the price. Dealers should be told in September.

I think the price is much more affordable

That's very reasonable. But why it's called BV 11, BV 7 is still BV 7 although chassis had also be changed over the years?

BTW: We don't need 3D, but MASTERLINK!!!

Let's hope it is priced below the current BV10 but with more function as in the V1 Smile

And I for one would probably give up the MasterLink requirement Sad
