In the earlier beomasters, there is used big alu caps for the power supply.. Can these be exchanged for the same types of "plastic" caps used in the newer BS2300 for instance ?

They have the same values, but are there something special about the alu caps, other than the footprint does not match 100%. The alucaps has a center plus pin and three ground pins around it.

But be careful, sometimes the PCB design relies on the negative pins being connected together by the original cap. You may need to add some jumper wires.

Thanx guys...

The new cap worked perfect, and only 1 of the legs were actually in use, so no need for jumpers :)
