Hi all,

I am faced with a really impossible decision here, as you know the BV3 has a great image and an interesting, almost timeless design, but it is relatively large and quite worthless $$$ wise. Mine is on a motorized plate, with a decent STB, HDR2, blue, 11 years old, 550 days use and in perfect condition. I honestly don't have the heart to sell it especially if it were to yield anything less than $1000 AUD. What would all of you do? Keep it until its tube blows and throw it out? Or sell it now while it still works so well?

Keep it until the tube blows unless you feel you are missing out on something !

It looks beautiful in its setting - what would you put in its place ?  The V1 ?  Not sure it would look as nice - perhaps someone can photoshop a V1 so you can judge.

Given that a new Beovision is expected this year I think I would play the waiting game.

On the other hand, as I posted elsewhere, B&O Australia is offering an Beosound 8 and up to $2,500 as a rebate if you buy one of a "selected" (BV10 or BV7 ?) television ... this could be a bargain Big Smile or a sign that the new BV is getting really close to being announced Surprise

I do not think that it means there is a bulging warehouse in Australia !  The offer is going out overseas and in any case all B&O orders these days are "build to order" not "build to plan".

Oh this is an old photo :) It was replaced with a BV9, and i really don't need a second television... i just love it so much that it would have to go to a good home lol how sad!

Why not use it as a N-Music speaker in a link room setup (assuming it can run N-Music and you have the necessary ML set-up).

There was a time when I would have been interested ... but my plans are now for a V1 (or the Bamg&Olufsen equivalent when it gets announced . . . . . )

I had similar dilemma when I decided to upgrade from Avant to BV40, just could not part with the avant. I moved it into the bedroom and mainly listen to music as it sounds wonderful. And on the odd occasions can watch TV/DVD
