Hello

The Encore would suit my purpose, because it has not the box. But it is not available with CD device.

Iam looking for a solution to play CD trough BS5e. The ripper from STB acts only as ripper, not as player.

How will a CD Player show in the menu if it is connected to line in? And how does the Beo4 handle this?

Anyone with the same ideas - problems?

Thank you

Rudolf

Since it is connected to the Encore via the A.Aux/Line-in port, it is just an audio input.

The input must be activated with the remote or the control wheel.

All controlling (besides volume) has to be done on the (CD) player.

'Problems?' Yes, now you have the extra box, that you wanted to avoid ;-(

Why not rip the CD's and skip the player?

Hi Millemissen

Thank you - got the point.

What do you propose for connecting a BS 9000 to the Encore? No ML with the Encore.

A powerlink switch like Almando? And how about setting the Beo4?
