Hello!

I saw on Beoworld some turntables like Beogram 4002/4004 which can be used with an remote control.
Can be used CD TERMINAL Type 5005 remote control for Beogram 6000 Type 5512, or other remote control?

P.S.I have the receiver module for CD TERMINAL Type 5005  and CD TERMINAL Type 5005 remote control.

I understand that will be necessary some labour but all infos are welcome.

Best regards,

                        Catalin.

HiCatalin

I don't see a way to remote control your Beogram 6000 by a CD-Terminal Type 5005.

The Beogram 6000 (type 5502, 5505, 5511, 5515, there is no type 5512) has no control unit like the Beogram 4004. Even Beogram 4004 doesn't work with datalink codes, works only with beomaster 2400 (see the product page https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=295 ). I don't know whether there exists a beogram with more or less the same mechanics than Beogram 6000 and electronics compatible with datalink codes. As a silver member you have acces to the service manuals on our site to have a look.

At my opinion it is not impossible to remote control a beogram 6000 but you would have to design and implement the electronics from scratch, which can be a long way.If you decide to go this way i suggest a datalink compatible approach so that you can remote control your BG by your phone or watch in the future...

Anyway Beogram 6000 is a nice and excellent record player, which makes fun even without remote control. Yesterday i just bought a BG6000 in the white edition i was looking for about ten years.

Best regards

David

Hi David,

Thank you for reply.
The BG 6000 Type 5512 it is real but rare.
I looked for a service manual but all that I found it's one incomplete copy.
Here is a quick image from my BG  6000 Type 5512 bottom side.

Best regards,

                        Catalin.

Hi Catalin

In the mentioned service manual on page 9-14 you will find a short description of the remote control system in the BG4004. By translation of the serial code from datalink to the parallel code (two bits only) it should be possible to remote control your BG6000.

Good luck and best regards

David
