This is the 1984-1986 model. When I press Play, the tonearm swings over the record but doesn't lower. A second or two later, the platter stops spinning. I followed the procedure in the service manual for checking the raising and lowering of the arm, and the distance between H and I was 1mm, as specified. I could use some direction as to where to investigate next. Thanks.
