Looking to replace my stylus MMC 20 EN. Current stylus still working but become somewhat 'scratchy'.

Hi.

A company called Soundsmith - from America - actually sell replacement Mmc20 cartridges. Certainly not cheap but that is one option.

Another is getting yours retipped. If you search , MMC retip, on this forum you will soon find details of someone called Axel from Germany who does just that. Sorry I can't remember his surname. I believe he has retired but his partner still continues the business and uses the name.

There is, of course,  taking a chance with EBay but getting a good working cartridge now would be almost impossible. Please remember they will be well over 30 years old and even if described as new the rubber suspension will have hardened. My suggestion would be having yours retipped. Axel is generally well recommended on this site. There may be other retipping services available if you search the web.
