Hi.
I would greatly appreciate some help with my setup. I received a beolab 19 yesterday that will complete my sound system (beosound essence, transmitter 1, beolab 18, 19).
A few days ago I broke my left wrist and have a cast on. That makes me not wanting to turn the subwoofer upside down (to access the settings) any more than I have to. I want to get it right the first time.
If someone could guide me through the settings/connections I would be really grateful.
At the moment the Essence is connected to the Transmitter via RJ45 (PL1->PL1). Do I need to connect PL2->PL2 also?
What settings should I use on the Beolab 19?
LP on or off?
Gain on zero?
Which channel L, R, or L-R?
What settings shoud I use on the Transmitter and Essence?
I connect to beolab 18 and 19 wirelessly. At the moment I have some sound from the subwoofer but only very little, bordering on not noticeable. I'm after the setup that give the most out of my system.

Hi Mike
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your wrist.
The BL19 user guide shows different set ups if it is a B&O TV and a non B&O TV.
I have the Avant and my BL19 is set to
Wireless Left and Right
Pos would be where you have it. W for Wall C for Corner and F for Free
Gain would be zero for B&O speakers
LP Filter would be 80 and OFF for B&O Speakers
Phase would be zero
Hope this helps
Also the manual is here incase you requre http://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/customer-service/product-support/loudspeakers/beolab-19
Thanks.
Hi all - i hope you can help with me a similar setup.
I have: Samsung TV > Marantz SR6011 via pre out front L/R to a Transmitter 1, Essence.
Two problems
1) I have the beolab 18s working wirelessly. When I try to add the 19 through the SELECT/ STORE procedure i can't get it to pair and send the test sound. Do i need to have it wired to the T1 first before it can pair for wireless sound?? If not, what am i doing wrong. The subs green light is flashing during setup. The front left and right speakers pair easily and play the test sound
2) how do i connect the essence to this setup so i can use the remote control? I currently have an ethernet cable running between the T1 and the Essence. The essence is connected to my wifi network and the remote control paired. However when i twist the dial the green light doesn't flash on the front of the essence and the volume doesn't change
I have the 17s to connect next as surround sound speakers but i wanted to get the sub going in a 2.1 config first
All driving me crazy!! Thanks in advance for your help!
Ollie
I've now go the 19 to work so that's great.
Now just need to get the essence plugged in and working - any suggestions?
you need pl1 and pl2 connected from the transmitter
Why not connect the output of the tv to the line-input of the Essence?
And then from there via PL cables to the Transmitter and wireless to the speakers.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Should have been:
'From the output of the Marantz.....'.
