hallo,

if i start the tv directly from standby with Webradio, YouTube, webmedia..., (all webbased sevices), i have to wait more than 5 minutes till the program starts.

sometimes it does not start at all (the tv-system starts but not the Service), and i have to switch to tv-mode and then after a while back to Webradio.

it seems the webmodul needs a lot of time to connect.

does anybody have the same Problems, or does have any idea how to get it working better?

No - my tv is only in 'deep-standby', when I sleep.

Make Quick Start Timers for the time, that you'd need the tv, is my only suggestion.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

No two.

Even in deep standby when I select webmedia or youtube... it appears quickly.

Maybe you have a very slow internet connection ?

no,

my network at home is 1gbit and outside it is more then 100mbit.

the problem occurs only if it starts from deep standby.

@ millemissen

we are speaking of about 50watt power consumption in standby, instead of .5watt in deep standby.

the whole bv11 needs only 80watt as webradio (without the connected speakers).

Hello Manitou

I found a similar problem opening YouTube from deep standby in that it was hesitant to connect and would temporarily say it had lost connection - so I entered a fixed IP address into the network settings of the Beovision 11 and it appears to have solved it. It is set to get a dynamic IP address as standard and that might be causing your delay. I also put a different external DNS server as that might also have been causing a delay.

Kind regards

Stephen

hallo stephen,

thank you for your suggestions, i had allways tried them, and after reading you post  i tried them systematicaly again.

but unfortunately with no positiv result.

however i noticed that the bv11 is connected to the router from start on (my tablet reacted when i used the remote), but it cannot connect to the Internet servers, and there are no limitationrules in the router.

which ip did you use as dns? i tried 8.8.8.8.

When i first got the Avant the web radio was terrible. It wouldn't buffer properly and it would take ages to start up

I did change the settings to allow for the start up to be quicker

However what really fixed it was the first Avant update. Avant and BV11 use the same platform.

Have you been doing the software updates on your BV11?

thanks for all of your suggestions,

but nothing helped :(

i now have put the bv11 outside the Firewall of the router, into direct fire of the internet. and it works perfect. Big Smile

that means that the bv11 needs some opened ports, to get reached from the outside at once. (some Routers are secured strong and others are a bit less restrictiv.

i will try to get an answer by b+o which ports should be openend, because i would like to put the bv11 back behind the Firewall.
