I have an Essence MKII with IR eye and a Beotime alarm clock. I previously used the Beotime to control a BV11 which worked fine and the IR eye was receiving commands for the essence from a BeoRemote One absolutely fine.

I now have the essence with IR eye in the bedroom so would like the Beotime to control it. The IR receiver flashes whenever I press a command on the Beotime but the essence doesn't respond at all. Any ideas??

He is talking about if you have option programmed the Essence.

Does it react to volume commands?

The only source command the essence takes from the Beotime is radio/n.radio.

Does it work with a regular Beo4?

How would I option programme the Essence?

It previously worked ok with a BeoRemote One
