Hi.
I have a Beogram 8002 that sometimes works well and sometimes is very sensitive.
sometimes it will not start or when it plays a record it will suddenly stop.
Any tip on what this might be? I have lubricated the mechanical parts. It helped in some degree, but not completely. If I try to restart many times, all of a sudden it works fine...

Here is an old thread from 2012 that is my first restored Beogram 8002. It is kind of lengthy but has plenty of pictures. It will give you an idea of various things you may need to do to fix your problem. They turntables start misbehaving as capacitors start to go out of tolerance. Solder joints also can cause issues, especially on the board connectors.

Thanks for your answer. That looks to be thorough solution and will consider it. Although I only have solder cables and easy stuff before it looks to bo doable. With this maintenance it may take som time...
Everything on the unit seems to be fine except for the sensitivity of be playback and the arm movement. Is there any "easier" first step to check? Or is it the capacitors (all of them) that causes this problem.
I have another unit (8002) as well. This one had some of the same issues when I got it, but I lubricated the mechanical parts to the arm. After using it and running the arm back and forth for a wile it now works well... I have tried to do this on this unit as well and at first it seems to work well. Hare other day it functioned well for several hours. Then the morning after it was troublesome again. It seems like it will work if I try several times. Is this because the capacitors are "weaker" than in the original state and "charges" voltages slower?
The tangential arm assembly has a rubber belt for the drive motor. Have you replaced that? It has to be the right belt as well. Make sure you get one from Beoworld moderator Dillen. Not all of the replacement belts sold on the market are accurate for the Beogram.
