Cleaning the 'stickiness' of the BeoSound 4 plastic/rubber housing

Hello

I purchased my BeoSound 4 in 2008 and the black plastic/rubber housing (don't really know what it is) has become sticky over time.

Any ideas on how to clean it, or is that likely to be it's new permanent state?

Never had Beosoud 4 but have same problem with some remotes. I´m afraid that it is permanent state :(

Do you mean the fluted black ribs on the rear of the unit ?
