Dear Beofriends,

I have already received from these forum great suggestions, now here is my first post :-) Thanks for the many great contributions which have helped me so far as a silent reader so much.

The following problem: My BL7000 had the known no contact problem. After replacing the capacitors and the lithium cell, as well as a  new accupack is also installed, the 2-way communication ONLY works if the BL7000 stands on the charger tray. As soon as you take them from these, they immediately lose the 2-way communication. If you put it then again on it, then comes after a short while the two-way communication back .... Are there any ideas or even better solutions for this phenomenon?

Thank you in advance!

Micha

Hi

After I replaced the capacitors in my Beolink 700 I had to remove all the componenets (Radio CD Tape) in the menu and then add them Again before the 2-way communication  worked....maybe it is the same with yours.

Dear Søren,

unfortunely it depends not on the "integration" of the components :-(

the two way communication works fine, if the remote is on the charger. but if you take it out of them, its loosing the connection...

Did you change all 5 capacitors ? And with the correct value ? Did you clean the board with alcohol, especially under the SMD caps ?

I have done a lot of these, and especially the SMD caps are very hard to solder correct.

Hi Micha

The loss of 2-way communication may also be due to a problem in your Beomaster or because of a bad infrared path (Or combinations).

I suggest the following test: You work with your BL7000 in the charger tray and verify the 2-way contact. Then you switch of the mains of your charger without moving the charger and without standing in the path between BL7000 and beomaster. If your system loose the 2-way contact, you can be certain there is (still) some problem with your BL7000, but which works having a higher voltage at the batteries because of the working charger. If your system doesn't loose the 2-way contact, you probably have a problem in your Beomaster or because of a bad infrared path.

Importartant for all such tests is a "clean" room: No other 2-way capable beomasters or beolinks messing around in the infrared world...

Good luck and best regards

David

It may also be simply be a matter of needing a new battery pack if the current one has the voltage dipping. How old is the pack?
