Is it bad to use a non-Bang and Olufsen battery on a Beocom 4? Someone at the store told me that they don't work. If I used a different battery, will I need to get a new battery or just get it flashed for new software?

Thank you.

If you get the same spec, I cannot see the problem. On the whole, B&O parts are not too badly priced though and it will come with the correct fixings.

The guy at the service center told me that the beocom1 battery contains a chip which works to limit overcharging. If you buy non-B & O, make sure it has this. I think it has 3 wires rather than 2. I also believe Sanyo is the OEM for many batteries.
