Beovision Avant - Spotify unavailable !!!

Did someone had this kind of message on Spotify directly on the Beovision Avant source SPOTIFY ?

I checked now too and noticed the same thing. Unfortunate but not surprising since it's a web app that hasn't seen any love for many years. And Spotify being Spotify. They don't even have an Apple TV app but there is one for Android set top boxes.

The message I currently get is (paraphrased) --- This  Spotify app will no longer serve this Bang & Olufsen smart tv and to go to Spotfy.com/tv for more information, but none is given. Very confusing. --- I am not certain if there will be a modification, update in software or moving the app to web media or what. Spotify problem on the Besound 5 has been restored on the other hand which is a welcome relief!

The information on the Spotify support page is quite clear. The app will stop working/be removed and they suggest other ways to stream Spotify to your Tv. Such as chromecast or airplay for example.

It's due to licensing restrictions etc at Spotifys end, and not a software glitch from B&Os.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
