Good Afternoon.
I have just joined the group....yes you've guessed it...a question. After putting my deck in the loft some 20 years ago and going down the CD route I have now decided that the time is right to get back to vinyl.
So after plugging it in and putting the belt back on I find it runs on 17, but as soon as I switch to other speeds..nothing. Now have I forgotten how to work it, or is it something more serious. Oh, and I need a new stylus.....is eBay the way forward.
Thanks in anticipation
Richard.
Possibly corrosion on the contacts - how to fix it rather depends on your competency - mine is poor! If you still have a stylus, I would get it retipped as you know where it has been!

Not only contacts, probably a seized up speed mechanics. dismantle, clean, lubricate, assemble, adjust, get a new belt from Martin, maybe this thread can be of help
