Hi!

My "new" used 8000's arrived and they're nearly perfect....nearly because I have a small problem:

- they turn on ....work as long as they receive signal....then when signal is off ( during a movie, or concert) one of them is turning off and the other turn off but turn on imediately and off again...very quickly...as a sort of clipping.

- if I turn off the movie/concert....they are off both of them without any problem.

Anybody encountered this sort of problem?

Thanks!

Are you using the line in connection? In that case the speaker will turn off when it feels that the signal is to weak. This occurs on low volume and makes the speakers turn on and off when there suddenly is more sound and then again less sound.

Yes, you are correct. I forgot to mention that I am using "line" input.

I agree with you, but as long as one loudspeaker is "quiet" the other turn on-off-0n-off..... very quickly...almost every second...very unpleasant.

In LINE mode, once the speaker has turned on, it should stay on for some time (30 seconds or three minutes, can't remember) even if the signal goes away.

Try swapping the speakers around; if the issue remains on one of them, it has some kind of a fault.
