Hello.

I have beolab 4 PC running from my Mac.  Is it possible to add a beolab 11?

Are they able to be used together?

The beolab 4 PC are currently connected via a 3.5 mm jack to male RCA's in the back.

I was thinking could I get a beolink lead with two female rca inputs (and connect the male RCA's and put the 3.5 mm jack connected to the computer) and connect it to the lab 11, then run the lab 4's off the sub with beolink cables.  Am I correct??  Or do B&O already make a cable (3.5mm to beolink) for this.

Any advice would be much appreciated  Big Smile

.

I reckon Steve at Sounds Heavenly will have the answer / answers to this with a definite yes :)

Thanks Paul.  I know he is the guru, but are these two speakers compatible?  I cannot see any reason why they wouldn't be.  Danke!

I have Beolab 4s (the full version) in my set up as rear speakers.

They are not, repeat not, daisy chained with the BL11 but I find them weak even thought I have raised their bias above the others in the SOUND menu.

So even if Steve solves it electrically for you I think you will be disappointed sonically.

Thanks Mr elephant.  I won't bother.  Probably easier to get a better speaker than fluff around with this set up like a big fluffy sheep.

Sorry that I couldn't be of more help there Mr Rex!

Yes the BL3's are awesome with the Mac OR the BeoPlay A8 is pretty great for it's small size and iconic design! Plenty of bass on the A8.

Sadly, i've never heard a pair of BL3's BUT from what many have said, it's probably the nicest B&O speaker made when cost and performance are evaluated!

I had a set of Lab 3's.  They sounded stunning on some recordings, and on others totally lacking in the mid range.  I prefer the 8000's, better all round speaker in my experience.  You can tweak the loudness and treble to get a similar crisp top end and they play a lot louder.  They just don't have the treble dispersion that the lab 3's have, which sound great!  Have a good day & thanks!
