Hello Forum :)

I started to think the other day whether I might be able to control A9 and A6 with Beoremote One BT - but in a very specific way actually:

- I would like to "program" some of four MyButtons on the remote to activate for example a particular TuneIn radio station on both A9 and A6, different volumes

- also would like to "program" some of four MyButtons to play particular Deezer playlist on one, other or both multiroom devices etc...

Would this be in principle possible, or there are some limitations? Can't really figure this out on my own even if I tried in all manuals I could find online.

Thanks :)

Because of the currently pointless nature of how the BT mode on the remote works you require a Bluetooth TV (BV14 or NG Avant) to edit the mybuttons etc.

Although even that doesn't work very well on my BV14 currently! (I set a stand position to the 'TV' button which I don't want anymore but the mybutton won't clear its settting even though it says it has when I untick all the choices on the TV!

i dont believe you can do that.....i have an A9 MK2, and a BV14 with BR One BT....it doesn't work as far as i can tell.....thats a highly specific use case you have in mind.....

I feel that B&O is going through some growing pains and has lost its way a bit. B&O has always prided itself on its "one remote" simplicity and integration. Now that B&O has moved away from IR in favor of BT, things are a bit of a mess. The Essence remote keeps losing its pairing. The BeoRemote One BT seems like it should logically work with ALL of the BT B&O products, but it doesn't. Hopefully things will pull together soon.

The reason I wanted to check it is that the Essence Remote I have has limited (well, essential ;) capabilities.

I think its software is not at all conceptually adjusted to multiroom reality. And it is not configurable. So all in all, a wonderfully looking - if not that practical - remote for a single device.

And now I look for something to trigger whole NL multiroom setup playing music at the press of a button - and not going through 15 taps in the app on a smartphone.
