You think the headphones will soon have lightining or USB C ports?
I am so tired of having all those cables around. Iphone charger would be ideal to charge everything
Hopefully, they're using USB-C on new speakers (P2, A1, A2 Active, and BeoLit 17) so I guess it's only a matter of time until new headphones start using it too (was disappointed that the H9s/H4/E4/new E8s aren't using it but it'll probably happen soon).
Using lightning would probably be a bad idea, USB-C is becoming more and more common throughout Apple's own lineup so I imagine they might be considering ditching lightning one day so B&O using USB-C instead would probably be the most logical way to do it.
Completely agree with just having one cable though, carrying around so many is getting annoying now.
For charging and data transmission USB-C is a nice comfort bonus, especially while traveling, but nothing more. We survived decades with different cables.
Honestly, I hope that they use USB-C only for charging and data transmission on headphones. Why should e.g. real high end headphones be ditched because of the one-eyed USB-C and Ligthning view of the IT industry? Apple is not the center of the world - even if too many people don't seem to be able to think outside the box on this topic. The headphone connection is found on millions of various devices of the consumer audio video, professional video, professional audio, electronic instruments etc. industry and it's much more robust than those USB-C or Lightning plugs.
