Hello everyone!
I'm a new member and I'm not sure if my question has been responded already in early posts (I've been looking for a while and I find similar questions but not exactly my case, sorry if I'm repeating issues without knowing and many thanks in advance for any help).
In my case I'm trying to link a beosound 3000 to a beosystem 4500 (located in separate rooms).
I already have 3 link rooms with extra speakers connected via mcl (one is a mcl 2a and the other two are mcl 2av). These mcl boxes are connected with the mcl cable to the beosound via ml-mcl converter so the beosound was acting as the main (and alone) audio system and it all worked fine.
Now I'd like to use and incorporate to the link system the beomaster 4500 (this is now working separately but I'd like to control it from the beosound as well as from the other link rooms).
My beomaster 4500 is updated to new software version and I've read here that in this case it won't work as a slave, is it correct? I'm not sure about which one must be the main audio system and which one the slave, maybe I should put the BM as the main system with the speaker sockets 2 connected to the mcl (and I guess I don't care which is the main one as far as I can control one audio system from the other).
The thing is that I bought an audio aux link cable and have connected the BM (aux socket) to the BS (aux socket too) and it does let me hear the BS from the BM speakers but it does not let me control the BS from the BM nor viceversa (I mean that I have to go to the room where the BS is to change track, play or stop and everything else and though I want to do this from the BM with the beolink remote and viceversa).
My BS 3000 is not updated and it does not seem to respond to set up Op.5 nor 6.
Please, does anyone know how to set up this link system to get what I want?
Thanks in advance!!!!
