Hello and good evening, my first posting on this forum and I need some assistance please.

I have connected my LG TV via an optical splitter and a DAC unit to BeoSound 35 and BeoSound 2 (2016). The second split goes directly through Airport Express into Beoplay S8. It works like a dream and I'm getting excellent sound out of the combination.

The issue I'm facing is that when everything is switched off (standby mode, TV & all speakers) in the evening or when I'm going to work whenever I'm getting up/coming home both speakers are back switched on. There is nobody else in the house at the time. The alarm functions in both speakers BS 35 & BS 2 are disabled.

Any idea what could cause this issue?

Many thanks

have you tried to lower the sensitivity level in the Beo Setup App?  click to enlarge

Hi Egges, yes I set that to low in both of therm. I'm coming more to the conclusion it's got something to do with the DAC unit. Prior to that I had an optical connection to BeoSound 35 and that was working fine. BeoSound 2 doesn't have that, hence I'm using the DAC to be able to use the line in function in Beosound 2.

Why do you connect to both units? Can't you connect to one of them and use the multi-room functionality to play to the other one?

Hi Jans, if BS35 is connected through line in and the delay is disabled (due to sync issues with the TV picture) multi room doesn't work. This is the same problem when connecting through optical. Multiroom doesn't work in that case either with the delay disabled. Hence the DAC is connecting through line in in both speakers and gets them both to work with the TV (and this morning promptly both were back online even though they were on standby the hole night). If I take the line in connection off BS2 won't work in combination with BS35

obviously there's a permanent signal from the DAC that keeps your devices on autostart. have you tried to switch the DAC off the mains?

Hi again, yes did this last night and it was back online this morning. My next attempt will be taking the line in connection out of both speakers to see if it will behave the same way tonight. I'll keep you posted.

Both are showing line in as a source. On the phone app and in the BS35 display too

Update 27.02.2017: Problem resolved. I replaced the line in cables to shielded cables and since then it's working perfectly. Thank you everybody for your suggestions.

hi Joerg - can you please tell me how you got yout BS35 to talk to your LG TV as if you were talking to a 5 year old? i have the same delay in audio when connected to the XBOX & the BS35 doesnt work at all with the TV - and am i right  in assuming that the DAC unit took care of this? thx in advance
