Dear Forum,

found this a while ago and now in the process of setting it up.
I know, today there are spotify and deezer, but could not resist buying this just to test it.
Not sure if I will use it a lot, but hey, time will tell.

A software call NSMlink can control the NSM 3101 AC with a serial cable using windows.

But the goal is to use a Beo 4 remote control with the system - it is possible using the right accessories (sensor missing).

I called Mr. Steinborn today, very kind guy! He used to work for B&O as a developer and founded his company back in 1984 (if I remember well). Now his company is specialised in home automation (KNX).

He will look if there is still a sensor with western plug and powerlink connection in his spare part section...

See this for details:

Even though worldwide sales were around 50.000 units, I have never seen one - at least not with the B&O black box.

Will update this thread if I can move on with the integration.

Ralf

Hello Ralf,

I'm curious... can you give names to the CDs with the software or only numbers?

Please let us know how it all works out... :-)

Only numbers via this software. The software was not from B&O.
I heard there was a Version of the B&O sollution with a display, too...

Unfortunately not. Got some cables send to me that did not work and I had to send my stuff (except for the cd changer) to Steinborn systems. Still not back though. Will keep you informed when I have news on this subject.

Forgot to close this thread...

After lots of mails, telephone calls etc the Steinborn guys did not even sent back the IR eye + module that they wanted me to send in to update it (first version they updated did not work). Worst customer experience in my life. I sold the NSM stand-alone for the price I paid for it with the B&O stuff, so at least no money lost - but beware if you ever stumble over these...

I have started communication with them in October 2015 and gave up end of 2016.

Still wanting to meet them in person once I am in Bremen...
