Hello,

I am thinking of extending my masterlink system with RJ45 cables and I was wondering if someone has tried using flat cables like this one:

http://www.vpi.us/cable-flt-cat7.html

It is a flat cat7 cable.

Also, I have seen some documentation around the installation but have never seen anyone using a junction box to connect the wires (which would be my preferred alternative). Is there a schematic somewhere which shows which masterlink colors that I should connect to the cat7 cable?

Best regards,

Martin

why not just use ml to rj45 cables? and standard rj 45 wall plates? so you can always decide what to use the rj45 connection for - network or masterlink/powerlink?

way easier, done this at our house, using this to connect a beosystem 7000 with beolink converter 1611 to a beolink active.

Thanks for the suggestion, the thing is that I am unable to tun the cables in the walls and a flat cable would be much easier to hide...
