I've got a Beolit 12 which sits around for most of the year gathering dust and only comes out to play when we go on holiday and connect it up to the iPad.
It would be great if it could be connected as an extra speaker around the house or perhaps more usefully in the garden. I goes that would mean some sort of gadget that sends the audio out from the audio master (Beosound 9000) or ML in general to Airplay.
I've had a bit of search and can't find anything on here which helps with this scenario .Is there anything out there that be used to do this?
Inside the house it is no problem: - If the Beolit would be placed e.g. 10m away you can simply use the Audio-Out of the Beosound 9000. You'll need a special cable which Steve from soundsheavenly.com can provide you. If you can hide the cables.
- If there's a Beolink active somewhere on your ML network you could use this to feed the Beolit 12 through Line-In.
- Wireless through Line-In of your Beolit 12: Denon professional wireless sending/transmitting system feeded by your Beosound 9000 Audio-Out:
DN-202WT Transmitter:http://denonpro.com/products/view/dn-202wt

Bundle (Transmitter + Receiver):

- You could use/build a small PC (like Intel NUC series or other small devices) feed it from your Beosound 9000 Audio-Out and use software to convert every(!) audio signal and stream into an Airplay stream (which the Beolit 12 understands).
For all solutions: If you need a cable, ask Steve. :)
and to use the Beolit 12 outdoors you could simply add a wifi range extender or use an access point.
