Hello, I have recently wanted to reuse the Beosound 2 player I bought back in 2002 but I have no idea where I can download a stable version of the software to upload music to it. It's the round shiny mp3 player with the ipod-like sistem on the top.

Thanks.

I think you might have better luck just writing to the SD card directly from your computer (assuming computer has an SD card reader/writer).

I used my BS2 somewhat regularly up until a couple years ago (some of the plastic around the chargers/ data port broke), and that is what I used the last few years as I think the Beo software got flakey on newer OSes.

IIRC, it can deal with one level of folder - that is, put each album in a folder, and the folder in the top level of the card.

It's been a long time ...

The operating system in the BeoSound 2 can only handle small capacity SD cards

And it supports one level of folders for grouping MP3 tracks

It has some sensitivity (i.e. Does not like) long names, names with special characters, etc

However you can use an SD card reader on your PC just create a few folders and copy (just file system drag and drop) a few MP3s into each and insert the SD into the BS2 and have a play !
