Hi there, I'm having problems getting my fathers Beocenter turntable to work.
It started having speed fluctuations, slow startup & no startup, so i changed the belt & it worked fine for 6 months but now won't run at all.
If i disconnected the belt, i could see the motor struggling to turn, so assumed it was the motor bearings & the classic problem with old grease, so i followed the technique of other forum members, dismantled & re-infused the bearings with oil.
This definitely helped the motor run smoothly but when the belt is re-attached it stops running as soon as take my finger off the start button?
I can see it twitching, trying to turn but only get's going when the start/turn button is held down.
I assumed the motor was just tired, so acquired another working motor but this is behaving exactly the same.
Can anyone advise what to try next? many thanks
