Hi everyone, I am such a newbie on B&O. Got a pair of BL5 from my friend a while ago, finally got a chance to hook it up and the sound just awesome~~~ Due to nothing come with those speakers, I learned step by step follow online manual (in PDF) format.

Got a Beo 4 remote and finally made it work, well, like 90%.

Hook up to a non B&O system with S/PDIF source and set up with Option 1. Everything works "fine". but I just can't reset the sound level, also can't store a new start up sound level. All I made it work is press "radio" to turn them on, press "red dot" to turn them off. and up and down to adjust volume. But the start up sound is way too high that almost gives me a heart attack. And every time I turn them on is at that "MAX" volume level.

so follow the online manual, when i press "LIST", on Beo 4 screen only showing "stand" "speaker", i can't find the "A.Setup*" nor "Reset*", since i know nothing about B&O and no solution can be found on the web, I am here asking for help!!!

thanks a lot in advance...

Call and B&O dealer, like myself, and get a beosound essence.

They're not that expensive but will give you inputs and app control.

And congrats.. those lab5s are bad to the bone.

Get a beosound essence. That will give you Iphone and/or streaming. And they're pretty affordable. Plus you can get an IR receiver and the remote will work.

Find you a dealer (like myself) or check eBay.

Get a beosound essence. You'll get IR control and it'll give you an app.

You have to "load" the a setup option.  Then you can store your settings.

To do that, hold the red standby button and list.  When you see "Add?" select it with GO.  Then hit list until you see A Setup.  Select go (or press a number 1-9, which will place it at that spot on the remote control's list).

Now when you click on list you should see a new menu item, A Setup.  First adjust the speakers to the startup volume you want, then click list until you see A Setup.  Hit go.  Hit List until you see S. Store.  Now click go.  Sound settings are now stored!

As for the other settings in A Setup (Bass, Treble, Loudness) I have no idea how to set them, and it's not explained in the Beo4 manual I have.  I'll figure it out eventually.

Yeah, it's not super intuitive.  I've also found that there is a user guide, which is ok but mostly useless.  The reference guide is what you want.  Go get that online.
