The original [internal] strut on this one is missing, and I wanted wider access anyway.
I made up two wooden structures that support the top edge of the lid when fully open.
The two uprights are made of scrap mdf, and need to be a minimum of 280mm high measured from the top of the horizontal bar, which runs under the 9000; and this has a short cross piece of wood screwed on top touching the back of the 9000, so that the 9000 cannot slide back.
So long as the horizontal bars are the same thickness [vertical dimension] and long enough, their size doesn't matter.
The distance from the edge* of the upright to the back of the 9000 is [exactly!] 460mm. (* the edge nearest the B&O, of course!) Be sure the uprights are firmly held upright!
