Hello everyone,
Trying to connect the Beloab 2 to BV 8-40 as follows:
-Powerlink cable: in the Subwoofer connection of the BV 8-40 and IN connection in the BL 2.
Position switch FREE
While watching TV I select SPEAKER 5 (from BEO4) the 4 speakers (2 front & 2 rear) work fine but BL 2 has the red light on and no sound
Same result when I select CD or RADIO (using BS 9000)
Not using MK 2 power cable. I am using the "thin" one. (changed cables but no luck) This might be the problem ?
Please for your assistance. What am I doing wrong ?
Thank you !
Hi papas_spiros,
This may well be a cable problem, are you able to try connecting the Beolab 2 via one of the other speaker cables please? You are welcome to try a replacement cable on a "sale or return" basis, simply return it in good condition within 60 days for a refund if it doesn't solve the problem:-

Hi papas_spiros
Have you activated the sub in the sound settings of the BV8-40?
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thank you very much for your help MM !
I activated the sub in the sound setting menu of the BV8-40 and it WORKS now - the red light became Green !!!!
I must admit the volume from the BL2 is low. I do not hear loud the base. (I played a Deep Purple CD)
Will I see the real difference with movies ?
Is it possible to do any further adjustments ?
I have set POSITION to FREE and SETUP switch to 3.
Thank you again !!!
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
Ok - did you go through the other settings in the Sound Menu?
Distance of speakers and sound level aka Speaker Calibration!
Yes it is fine now !
Thank you so much MM, leogoeswild and Steve.
Enjoy ;-)
