Hello all
Today I finally said good bye to my BV7-55
I am now the proud owner of a Avant-55
Looks much better in my lounge
Not have a 7-4 for a centre is different.
I configured my Lab9’s, as front left and right. Set the avant left and right speakers to none as they were also on front left and right.
One thing I am confused about after having a Bs3 video engine
I have configured one Sound mode called TV and setup 5.0
On my old TV when a normal non Dolby source was on it would only switch on front and centre speakers, if Dolby was detected it would switch on the rear speakers when needed.
Is this still the case or am I doing something wrong ?
Also I bought 3 x PL to RJ45 connectors and only went and forgot the RJ45 IR
Now I do have a RJ45 crimp tool and can crimp a cable and cut the old headphone socket off
Does anyone know which pins I should connect to the original cable?
Orange and white
Orange
Green / white
Blue

Brown / White brown
Brown
Which 2 do I solder to the original cable so I can control sky?
Thank you
Sean

Didn’t you configure the 3 internal speakers of the Avant as a/one center channel for the tv/5.0 group?
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
You are a star
i have now configured center left and right both as additional center front speakers and it sounds great
So being a man I did not read the manual and have some answers to my questions.
If you setup a few speaker groups the TV will swap to the best one for the program you are watching IE Dolby or not Dolby.
I setup one group with all speakers and that it why the rears never turn off.
I found the place where I can configure a perm speaker group per input / source
I have also got the answer to my question about IT transmitter, if I cut off the jack its Pins 5&6 or 7&8 saving me £20 on a new cable.

It's a bit pricey, but you could always use one of these instead: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RJ45-PUC-A-B-Adaptor-Cable-for-B-O-BeoVision-Avant-55-75-85-11-12-V1-5-M-/152664454264
Out of interest, where did you find the IR transmitter RJ45 pin data?
Cancel that - found it here: http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/20907/175847.aspx#175847
