Beosystem 2300, sound disappears after 5 min

Hello Everyone

My Beosystem 2300  has got a problem. The sound suddenly disappears after approx. 5 min. It is the same whether I use the radio or the CD-player.

What to do?

My wife just want to get rid of it, but I would hate to do that.
