Hi all,

I want to connect my new BS5e and Playmaker to my BS4 in my livingroom.

The BS5e is connected via Powerlink out from the BS5e to the A.AUX-in on the BS4. The Playmaker to the Line-in from the BS5e.

I want to control the systems with my Beo5. When I have connected it like this way I can use the aux through my masterlinksystem in the house and have the ability to use my iThings for selecting the music.

My question: what are the option settings for the BS5e and Playmaker? The BS4 is set to option 0 and my tv is set to option 2.

What sources do I have to choose on the Beo5?

Any suggestion are welcome. I can/want even connect a Beogram 3300 to the line-in socket of the Playmaker via an phono-preamplifier.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Kind regards,

I`d set the BS5E to A.OPT 4 - if possible, I have no BS5E - BV to V.OPT 2, BS4 to A.OPT 0 and PM to A.OPT 0.

You can program macros to your Beo5:

Map A.AUX and LINK N.MUSIC to the button N.MUSIC. This will start up the BV in audio mode, activate BS4 in Aux mode and start up the BS5E N.MUSIC. Volume wheel should respond to your BV volume setting.

To open PM airplay port program a button that activates A.AUX - Link A.AUX. Volume wheel should respond to BV. You can control your PM via your itoy or Beogram. Set PM to fixed level output.

Volume control in such a setup should never respond to Link sources (BS5E). You can reprogram the volume wheel as said before.
