Hello all. New member here and first post. I am looking forward to learning from all you B&O devotees! I have a quick question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I recently acquired a couple (my first ever) B&O turntables: a Beogram 3400 and a 1900. Do both these models use transit screws, and, if yes, can someone please insrtuct me as to how to locate and fix them for safety during transport? Thanks in advance for any and all help!
Transport screws are normally placed under the record platter, lift it of and turn the transport screws clock wise until tight.
Take of the pickup and pack it, and the record platter, separately, secure the pickup arm with a support and tape
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
What Søren said and also take off the counterweight and pack separately. It's the heavy part at the back of the tonearm. Lift up the uneven square aluminum plate and thelead weight will follow.
