My V1 has stopped connecting to my router. I used to have it connected by cable, but suddenly it doesen't connect anymore (no canges to the setup was made prior to this problem). I have tried different router(s), different cable - no result.
Now I have connected the antenna to use WLAN instead. This works partially. It finds the network, I enter the password and get connection to the router and the internet. Until I turn off the TV... Next time I turn it on, it won't connect to the WLAN. The network shows up in the list, but no connection - until I enter the password again. I have to do this every time I turn on the TV.
I can't guess what could be wrong other than the motherboard (?). Maybe the LAN-connector has died for some reason? But why dp I have the WLAN problems then? Sounds like software to me.
Any suggestions on where to start searching? The SW is up to date.
1. test cable back to router
2. if ok connect device that has a known working LAN network card to the original cable
then report back....
as for the Wifi return to step 1. if cable is broken .
Thanks for your quick reply, StUrrock.
I'm not sure what you want me to do.
As I wrote, I have tried both another router and another cable. I even took the TV to my father's house and tried his router and cable. No reaction from the TV when a cable is connected.
My router is an ASUS RT-AC68U that is connected to my DSL-modem. I have several other clients connected (LAN and WLAN) without any problems. And it has worked fine the last many months with the same cable.
Some weeks ago there was thunder here, and we had a power outtage in our house when we got home from work. We had to put in the circuit breakers again. Maybe there has been a peak on the power?

Ok you may not have a cable tester.
Have you plugged another wired lan product into this cable (originally used by the TV)? In absence of a cable tester that would give more evidence as to whether the cabling is ok/network is ok?
yes maybe a power surge has fried the V1 Lan port?
