I've recently acquired a Beovision Avant type 8423 with integrated VCR. Everything appears to be working - controls, screen, etc, except when I load and play a VHS video into the VCR, no picture appears on the screen: all the VCR controls operate but no picture. The Avant came with a couple of loose SCART cables. I'm wondering if the integral VCR require a VCR cable connection, but can't find any mention to that in the reference guide?
I did notice I could hear some sound when playing a video if I turned the set volume to its maximum level. Oddly, the sound track didn't appear to be connected to the video playing, still with no picture!
Appreciate any advice and guidance.
Thanks
From memory the inbuilt VCR should have its own SCART lead that should be connected to the right hand of the three SCART inputs (when viewing the TV from the back). Googling some pictures shows the VCR SCART held in place with a small metal bracket.

Many thanks Guy. It now seems obvious, but I didn't expect to have to connect a SCART cable to allow the integral VCR to work. After connecting the cable as you indicated, it does now! Thanks again :-).
