Hi... My damaged BM7000 is now working, except for the tuner which is totally dead and beyond repair.

My question is, will a tuner from BM6500 work as donor, without RDS off course, but are there major changes in the processor control of the tuner, that will interfere ?

My own logic and looking at the service manual, says that it will work.

What do you guys say ? :)

I seem to recall I once tried swapping these (connected a 6500 tuner board to a 7000 amp) to isolate a problem and it worked. So my answer is a definite maybe Big Smile

It will work.

The RDS part is located next to the processorboard at the front. These cans are the same as used in the ouverture etc.

There is a change that you need to re-adjust the FM indication (mis-alignment showing 92.7 instead of 92.6Mhz.)
