Martin was able to get me a new CD platter to replace the problem one it came with, and I have cleaned the whole unit up a bit. But the hinges are all great, and I have seen absolutely nothing wrong with this unit. Glass is great. Aluminum is great. Functionality works fine. Lid opens/closes smoothly, reads disc quickly,advance/back,play/pause(stop),memory store/clear,display,repeat all work correctly and without issues, all lights and touch controls work properly also. I never really became a guru in the advanced programming of which track should play when, but I was able Ability to program it to jump around from track to track works fine. Please check out the pictures, but I have to remind myself that this was built over 31 years ago.
Note this is a type 5123, so USA power cord. As pictures indicate, it was built in March 1986. I have only had it the last year or so, with no problems. I am not sure if anything has been worked on before my time.
I will lock down the two screws for travel and then correctly box this for shipment to wherever the winner lives. If I can figure out how to add more than one picture to the post. I will. Otherwise I have photos to send interested parties.
Thanks for reading this.
