Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a Beomaster 900M and along came a pair of type B speakers. The information on the web suggest the speakers are in fact a bit older than the receiver itself.
In any case I have two questions:
1. will the Beomaster 900M handle Type B speakers? The speakers are rated 3-5 Ohm, but I cannot find much about the impedance for the receiver.
2. Is there any connection between the speakers and the Beomaster 900M? They are really well matched in terms of design. Were these meant to be paired? In fact I thought that perhaps when placed horizontally the speaker would look like an extension of the Beomaster 900, but this does not seem to be the case, the speakers in that position are a few milimeters taller than the receiver.
Any information will be greatly appreciated!

It will be fine.Beomaster 900 will drive larger speakers, but Type B would be a classic vintage choice.

I currently run type B speakers with a Beogram 1000 (early 4 speed) and a Beomaster 900M in my spare room. It’s a lovely combo!
the sound of 1965!

Great, thanks!
And by the way, I completely agree with both of you, they seem to be a perfect match for this receiver. I had them checked up and repaired by a professional (the tweeter was not working on one of the speakers) and he was impressed with how good they sound for such a small package.
